So excited to have a New York Dominican Bodega in Lincoln Park , yes the real deal over half the products straight outta New York. Authentic Dominican food counter with a few tables to eat inside, spotless clean and restrooms too. We visited twice since opening 2 weeks ago, always very busy. Saturday a line at the food counter non stop for the hour we visited. A young Dominican family husband n wife team with brother and auntie plating up food from the homeland. All customers Dominican we only gringos in the place both visits, telling you this place is an instant hit. First visit had Empanadas, one each Pollo, Queso and Pizza filled outstanding, along with Bistec Encebollado a bed of Arroz Blanco be Steak on Rice. Market is filled with 3 aisles of products not found in Michigan, cooler with Meats and Cheeses. I bought a fantastic Colombian Chorizo with an explosion of flavor cooked at home. On My Saturday visit I took my own plate to fill for 2 of us to eat, just look at the photos OMG marvelous unique food. Started with Arroz Blanco topped with Pollo Guisado be Chicken n Peppers, Whole Plantains, Dominican Fried Salami and Queso Fried Cheese added a Chicken Empanada and bowl of Habichuelas Guisadas WOWED best Beans ever tasted. This place has only been open for two weeks and I’ve already been back 4 times. As a new establishment there’s always much to improve but I know with time it’ll become a classic spot amongst everyone who loves Caribbean food and produce! Wish much success, keep on pushing!!!
